PTE Young Learners Exam Format
PTE Young Learners Exam Format includes a written paper and an interview test. The Pearson Language Test conducts an English proficiency exam for young students between the age group of 6 to 13. This exam is referred to as PTE Young Learners Exam.
It provides young students with memorable first experience of learning English language with the help of real-life communicative tasks.
On passing the exam, the students are given a certificate of achievement which gives them confidence and morale boost.
The PTE Young Learners exam has four levels of assessment which are conducted orally:
- First words(level 1)
- Springboard(level 2)
- Quick march(level 3)
- Breakthrough(level 4)

PTE Young Learners Exam Structure and Results
The tests uses real-life scenarios rather than grammatical exercises to test how well children can use language structures to complete communicative tasks.
The PTE Young Learner exam questions are based on the activities of a hypothetical family- the Browns.
The PTE Young Learners exam has four levels- First words, Springboard, Quick march and Breakthrough.
All four levels are separated into two parts:
- a written paper including listening, reading, and writing sections
- a final spoken test
For First words , Springboard and Quick march , the exam takes a total of 80 minutes.
The written papers is a total of 60 minutes, with six different sections
The speaking test lasts 20 minutes, with two sections
The Breakthrough exam takes a total of 95 minutes.
The written paper is a total of 75 minutes with six different sections.
The speaking test lasts 20 minutes, with two sections.
