The Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is a globally automated test which assesses reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills of those who seek permanent Canadian residency or a work permit in Canada.
What is the Exam Pattern of CELPIP?
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has two approved English language tests: CELPIP- General and IELTS General Training Test.
- CELPIP test has two modules- CELPIP General and CELPIP General LS.
- CELPIP-General is an assessment of general level of English proficiency.
- CELPIP General LSis a measure of English listening and speaking proficiency.

It is to be noted that unlike IELTS Academic module, CELPIP Academic Test has been revoked in mid 2015.
